Facebook releases new logo design
Find out how this will affect your print and online promotional material.
If you have a Facebook icon displayed on your digital or printed material, then please read on…
Facebook have updated their logo. The most notable change is the f icon now appears in a circle – gone is the square shape with the round corners. The switch to a circle seems to be a consistent change across their social platforms and now matches the circular profile photo shape that has been used for some time now.
The Facebook blue for the ‘f’ logo has changed slightly too, it now appears as a brighter blue than before. A white or black logo are accepted colour variations that can be used if the bright blue is not appropriate for your business branding.
Guidelines from the Facebook brand assets page:
“You may only use the approved brand assets that are provided on this site. Consistent use of these assets helps people easily recognize references to Facebook and protect our company trademarks. Any Facebook logos or images found elsewhere on the web are not approved for use.”
