Wishing you a Merry Christmas, 2020

Wishing you a Merry Christmas, 2020

2020 was a year of challenges for many of us, in a variety of ways.

For us it was one of our busiest years to date, helping our clients set up systems to do business in different ways. We built a lot of online appointment systems!

We absolutely love working with many incredibly motivated and entrepreneurial businesses across Australia and overseas, who continue to put their trust in our design ability. A thank you to our family and friends for all their support, and I also wish to thank and acknowledge our amazing Stream Team’s hard work and dedication too.

From behalf of all of us at Stream Art Design, I wish you a wonderful Christmas and New Year filled with all your wishes.

Best wishes,

Please read on for a recap of this year, plus our Christmas closure dates…

BRANDING

Women NSW

Stream Art Design was delighted to assist Women NSW with the branding of their new financial tool, Everything for Women. This online resource was launched during NSW Women’s Week at an event co-sponsored by Telstra, to an audience of around 300. The Everything for Women Financial Tool provides credible financial resources aimed specifically at women and is an initiative of the Council for Women’s Economic Opportunity (CWEO) and Women NSW, and supported by the NSW government. Our beloved client and inspirational woman Margaret Faux of @synapsemedical also played a key role in writing and providing the many resources available. Go girl power!

Not Just BooksCongratulations to our client ‘Not Just Books’ for the launch in early 2020 of their new shop in Burnie, Tasmania. Who could predict it wasn’t going to be the best time for a shop rebrand with COVID-19 arriving shortly after? Luckily they are fully set up for ordering online – including click & collect and home delivery. Offering a great range of books, art supplies, games and more, check out their socials and support a local business (notjustbooks.com.au)

The Cove is located on the beautiful Don Heads coastline of north west Tasmania. And just wait until you see the view, it is stunning! We were delighted to create a modern logo for The Cove, inspired by the shape of the coastline in the area. Uber modern accommodation is now available with the opening of VILLA TWO.FIVE.SIX and small bungalows are under construction right on the coastline edge. A wonderful accommodation option if you are visiting the area and want something private and serene. Oh, and you might see a few paragliders nearby too…wave if you see us! Visit their website (thecovetasmania.com) to find out more.

PACKAGING AND PRINT

Kelpomix

At Stream Art Design we love to meet the whole family, and that includes your fur babies. Meet Max the Kelpie, who goes to work with Dad every day and meets all the customers at the Kelpomix Tasmania HQ in Devonport, Tasmania. We were delighted to illustrate Max and also include him onto their new Garden Mulch and Potting Mix packaging. Visit their website (kelpomixtasmania.com.au) to find out more and also follow Max @Kelpomix on their social pages, to see what he’s up to (he has the cutest hi-vis outfit you’ve ever seen)!

Have you ever tried Bloobs blueberries? Yes, you read that correctly! Bloobs are grown in Cygnet Tasmania by Joanne and Tim Muir, and they are the most delicious (and biggest) blueberries I’ve ever tried – often the size of a 50 cent piece. Yep! It’s almost blueberry season, but if you miss out you can often get your hands on frozen blueberries – check out the cute packs for your freezer. We eat them like frozen treats in our household. You can message the team via their Facebook page @gardnersbayblueberries or purchase them from Farah’s IGA in Cygnet and Baxter’s IGA in Snug, Tasmania. You’re welcome! 🙂

Sustainable Population AustraliaHot off the press: a discussion paper on population and ageing by Sustainable Population Australia (SPA). When SPA’s designer fell ill, Stream Design jumped in to help finalise their latest 52 page discussion paper. In addition, for the launch of the paper, we created a suite of social media graphics and a promotional video.

And we’ve just redesigned their website. To find out more visit their website (population.org.au).

PHOTOGRAPHY

Cann Legal

Earlier this year we photographed the team members and premises of Cann Legal in Ulverstone, for their new website. The look we were aiming for was professional, friendly and sophisticated – with a moody and artistic edge. The result is photography that is almost black and white, but with a touch of colour … plus some colourful ones as well. If you require any legal advice and live in the NW of Tassie, we highly recommend Roger Cann of Cann Legal and his team, they are all knowledgeable, experienced, and very approachable. Visit their website for more info (cannlegal.com.au).

SIGNAGE

Check out the latest Cherry Hill welcome signage (the paint is still drying as we speak!) seen as you drive into their Latrobe coolstores. Due to the logistics of a door on the side of this structure, our signwriter advised we paint on the spuds along the base. And the rest of the graphics are laser cut out of a composite material, and painted to match our client’s colour palette. Cherry Hill Coolstores have had a big few years, with many new and innovative projects on the go, there is always something new going on at Cherry Hill Coolstores.

PRESS & PROMOTIONAL

paravion

Another stunning Par Avion double page advert featured in the Mercury recently. What a great idea for a last minute Christmas present, it’s a gift that will truly be remembered! Don’t miss out on the ‘Mates Rates for Locals’ private tours, for more information visit their website (paravion.com.au)

How super cute are these Tote bags for the Tasmanian Seed Potatoes? A little different from the norm, they include a lovely big pocket on one side (the white trimming marks the top of this pocket) and an extra wide gusset to pop lots of goodies inside.

They are great quality and were printed in Tassie.

WEBSITES

We were delighted to donate our time earlier this year to help the Hannah Foundation Inc. create their new website. Rita and Pat came to us around the time we’d just lost our dear Tulip (cat) and I could barely speak about cats and dogs without getting all teary! We found out more about the story of Hannah, who was an elderly boxer dog who lost her owner and it was four days before Hannah was found alone and distraught. Hannah was fortunate to have the kind hearted Rita Lynd to rehabilitate her and Rita dedicated the following decade to building a sanctuary for dogs to live out the rest of their senior days, in loving care. Today, the Hannah Foundation Inc. have welcomed their first three residents, who are loving life with the live-in carer. If you would like to know more, donate, or prepare for your own dog to live at the sanctuary, please check out the website (hannahcaninesanctuary.org.au) or visit the Hannah Foundation’s Facebook page. They’re an amazing team of very generous souls who have made this all possible. How could we not want to be part of something like that!

Quite a large new website (that we’re all super proud of) went live in mid-January for our client Recovery Partners. Recovery Partners look after injured workers, Australia wide and help them get back to work quickly. They also offer a multitude of online courses to help your workplace prepare and prevent accidents from happening in the first place. Last year they helped over 5,000 people with rehab and wellbeing services, pretty amazing stuff! (rrp.com.au)

There’s no greater privilege than working with friends and family, and Stream Art Design recently worked with Jessica and Dr Alex Pava to create their branding, website and promotional printed material for their new Melbourne-based cosmetic clinics. Their branding consists of elegant typography and uses a sophisticated colour palette. The customised WordPress website is elegantly adorned and full of useful information. Alex and Jess operate one of the few cosmetic salons with a qualified GP in Collingwood, and you can book online via their website (facebydralex.com).

Louise Bernardi, Image Consultant working out of Sydney, commissioned Stream Art Design to update her existing website. We created a user friendly WordPress site to showcase her business services, online gift vouchers and client testimonials. Additionally we set up email direct marketing (EDM) through Mailchimp to increase customer reach and a suite of a dozen or so questionnaires which she sends out to her clients. To assist Louise in managing her website and EDM’s in house, we provided personalised training which included how to edit website pages as well as how to create, then send her own EDM’s to her client list. Visit her website (louise.net.au) to find out more or buy a gift card for a loved one this Christmas.

After such a hard year for the tourism sector we were really pleased to assist Experience Tasmania launch their brand new website. The new look website is fresh, bright and friendly, with a vastly improved user experience. Large images, animated map routes and videos are used throughout, to showcase our beautiful state and their amazing tours. Why not join one of their full day or half day tours? It would make a fabulous last minute Christmas gift for a visiting relative, bookings can be made online or by phone (experiencetas.com.au).

Thank you to these wonderful clients, and many more, for trusting us to build beautiful new websites for their businesses
